Reporting To: Store In-Charge / Purchase Manager
Job Summary
The Store Assistant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the resort store by receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory of food, beverages, housekeeping materials, engineering supplies, and other operational items. The role ensures accurate stock records, timely issue of materials to various departments, and proper storage practices to support smooth resort operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive goods from vendors and verify quantity and quality against purchase orders and invoices.
- Ensure all materials are stored safely and systematically with proper labeling.
- Issue materials to Kitchen, Housekeeping, Engineering, Banquet, Restaurant, and other departments against authorized requisitions.
- Maintain stock registers and update inventory records accurately.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and proper storage procedures to minimize wastage and expiry.
- Assist in conducting daily, weekly, and monthly stock verification.
- Report low stock levels and damaged or expired items to the Store In-Charge.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area at all times.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and arranging deliveries.
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department for timely receipt of materials.
- Ensure proper documentation for inward and outward stock movements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required stock records.
- Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and inventory control procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 12th Pass; Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or any relevant field is preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in hotel, restaurant, or hospitality stores is preferred.
- Freshers with good computer knowledge may also apply.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of inventory and stock management.
- Familiarity with MS Excel and inventory software.
- Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Honest, disciplined, and responsible attitude.
Working Hours
As per company roster and operational requirements, including weekends and public holidays.
Salary
₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month (Based on experience and qualifications)
