You will help shape and execute social media strategies and campaigns that build awareness, strengthen engagement, and support client activation across channels.
You will join a group of communications professionals within the firm’s Reach and Engagement function. These colleagues help ensure that appropriate insights reach designated audiences, delivering tailored and impactful messaging to build awareness and engagement with McKinsey’s distinctive knowledge on a variety of topics. They shape the way the firm connects with people—from clients to firm members to alumni—strengthening institutional relationships, connections, and affiliations.
Through collaborating with senior communications colleagues, practice leaders, and external stakeholders, you will contribute to the development and execution of best-in-class digital communications programs that amplify McKinsey’s knowledge, expertise, and impact in India.
You will be based in Mumbai or Bengaluru office as part of McKinsey’s India Reach and Engagement team. The team is responsible for advancing the firm’s reputation and visibility across India through digital storytelling, strategic communications, media engagement, executive positioning, and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with colleagues across practices, capabilities, functions, and research institutes, the team helps bring McKinsey’s distinctive insights and expertise to priority audiences in relevant and impactful ways.
Through development, support, and execution of creative communication plans and tactics, you will build awareness of McKinsey’s capabilities, knowledge, and assets. A significant part of your role will involve leading the firm’s social media strategy and execution across India.
You will develop and manage campaigns across social media platforms, creating engaging content that showcases McKinsey’s thought leadership, research, client impact, events, culture, and people.
You will transform complex research, reports, and insights into engaging multi-format content and campaigns, including social posts, videos, executive thought leadership content, event coverage, recruitment storytelling, and culture-focused communications.
You will proactively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop communications that align with audience needs and strategic objectives, ensuring consistency with the firm’s voice, visual identity, and narrative standards.
You will collaborate with global teams and knowledge partners to localize international content and campaigns for Indian audiences, ensuring relevance and resonance.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior partners and leaders, helping them strengthen their visibility and influence through strategic digital storytelling and personal brand-building.
You will create and shape executive content, provide guidance on digital and social media best practices, and design capability-building programs that enable leaders and their teams to engage confidently and effectively across digital platforms.
You will also design and deliver training sessions for senior stakeholders and executive assistants to build digital communications capabilities across the organization.
In terms of project management and execution, you will lead multiple digital communications workstreams simultaneously, coordinating stakeholders across practices, functions, and office locations. You will establish performance metrics and reporting frameworks, analyze audience and channel data, and provide recommendations that continuously improve campaign effectiveness and business impact. You will manage relationships with external agencies and oversee the timely delivery of high-quality assets and campaigns.
In partnership with communications, legal, and risk colleagues, you will help monitor digital channels for potential reputation risks and support the implementation of appropriate mitigation strategies to protect the firm’s brand and reputation.
