Job description:
The Principal – D Pharmacy will be responsible for providing academic leadership, administrative management, and strategic direction to the Pharmacy department. The role requires ensuring high standards in teaching, research, student development, and regulatory compliance as per PCI and university guidelines.
Key Responsibilities :
Academic Leadership :
- Provide vision and leadership for the development of the Pharmacy programs.
- Ensure effective implementation of curriculum as per regulatory bodies.
- Promote innovative teaching methodologies and academic excellence.
Administrative Management :
- Oversee day-to-day functioning of the Pharmacy department.
- Manage faculty recruitment, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
- Coordinate with management for departmental planning and development.
Regulatory Compliance :
- Ensure compliance with Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and other regulatory authorities.
- Maintain documentation and records for inspections and accreditation.
- Ensure adherence to university and statutory norms.
Research & Development
- Encourage faculty and students to engage in research activities.
- Promote publications in reputed journals and research collaborations.
- Organize seminars, conferences, and workshops.
Student Development :
- Monitor academic progress and discipline of students.
- Support placement, internship, and industry interaction initiatives.
- Ensure a positive academic environment for student growth.
Institutional Development :
- Contribute to institutional growth through strategic planning.
- Develop industry partnerships and academic collaborations.
- Participate in accreditation processes such as NAAC/NBA.

Eligibility Criteria :
- Ph.D. in Pharmacy or M-Pharmacy from a recognized university.
- Minimum 12–15 years of academic experience, with significant experience in leadership roles.
- Experience as Principal/Professor in a reputed Pharmacy institution preferred.
- Strong track record in research, publications, and academic administration.
Preferred Attributes :
- Experience handling PCI inspections and approvals.
- Ability to lead accreditation processes (NAAC/NBA).
- Strong industry and academic network.
