Job Summary:
The Chemistry Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Chemistry for IGCSE and IB curriculum students. The role involves planning engaging lessons, conducting laboratory sessions, assessing student performance, and fostering scientific inquiry and critical thinking among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver Chemistry lessons as per IGCSE and IB curriculum standards.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, and assessment materials.
- Conduct practical laboratory sessions ensuring safety standards are followed.
- Evaluate and monitor student progress through tests, projects, and assignments.
- Prepare students for board examinations and internal assessments.
- Maintain accurate academic records and student reports.
- Encourage analytical thinking, scientific research, and problem-solving skills.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and school events.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom learning.
- Support students with academic guidance and mentoring.
Required Skills:
- Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of IGCSE and IB teaching methodologies and assessment patterns.
- Ability to conduct laboratory experiments safely and effectively.
- Proficiency in using digital teaching tools and smart classroom technologies.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Educational Qualification:
- B. Ed / Master’s Degree in Chemistry or related field.
- IB/IGCSE certification or training will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in IGCSE and/or IB curriculum preferred.
Working Hours:
As per school policies and academic schedule.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
