Role Objective
To provide high-quality clinical management for obstetric and gynecological patients. This role bridges the gap between nursing staff and senior consultants, ensuring continuous patient monitoring, immediate emergency response, and detailed clinical documentation.
Core Responsibilities
- Labor & Delivery Management: Constant monitoring of patients in the labor room, interpreting CTG (Cardiotocography) traces, and conducting spontaneous vaginal deliveries.
- Surgical Assistance: Functioning as the primary assistant for elective and emergency C-sections, laparotomies, and minor gynecological procedures (D&C, biopsies).
- Patient Admissions: Conducting initial assessments for all emergency admissions, including history taking, physical examination, and ordering baseline investigations.
- Ward Rounds: Performing daily rounds for antenatal and postnatal wards; identifying and escalating high-risk cases (e.g., Pre-eclampsia, GDM) to the Consultant.
- Patient Education: Counseling patients on reproductive health, prenatal nutrition, contraception, and postnatal recovery.
- Compliance: Adhering to hospital protocols, JCI standards, and local health authority (e.g., DHA/MOH) regulations.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent; specialized training or a Diploma in Ob-Gyn is highly preferred.
- Experience: 2–5 years of post-internship experience in a dedicated Obstetrics & Gynecology department.
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
