Position Summary
The Bakery Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily bakery production and retail operations, ensuring that all products meet quality, hygiene, and presentation standards, while maintaining efficient operations, controlling costs, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
A. Operations Management
- Supervise daily bakery production and retail operations to ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensure all baked products meet quality, freshness, taste, and presentation standards.
- Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
- Coordinate timely procurement of ingredients with the purchase/store department.
- Minimize wastage and control food and production costs.
- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of bakery equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in compliance with food safety standards.
- Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials and finished products.
B. Staff Supervision & Training
- Supervise, schedule, and allocate duties to bakery staff.
- Train team members on food safety, hygiene practices, and operational procedures.
- Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback.
- Ensure discipline, attendance, and productivity of staff.
- Foster a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
C. Customer Service
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Support customer engagement and product recommendations.
- Assist in promoting bakery products, combos, and seasonal offerings.
D. Sales & Reporting
- Monitor daily sales performance and product movement.
- Identify fast-moving and slow-moving products.
- Prepare daily and weekly operational and sales reports.
- Assist management in pricing strategies and promotional planning.
- Track product returns, wastage, and customer preferences.
