About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Database Developer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain enterprise-scale database systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in MySQL and Oracle databases, along with experience in Cassandra and database automation practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions using MySQL and Oracle.
- Create, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Monitor and improve database performance, scalability, and availability.
- Manage database deployments, upgrades, backups, and recovery processes.
- Work closely with application development teams to support database requirements.
- Implement database security, data integrity, and best practices.
- Support production systems and troubleshoot critical database issues.
- Perform database capacity planning and performance tuning.
- Automate database administration and operational tasks where applicable.
- Document database architecture, processes, and standards.
Required Skills
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in database development and administration.
- Strong expertise in MySQL.
- Strong experience with Oracle Database.
- Experience working with Cassandra or other distributed NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
- Strong SQL programming skills, including query optimization and performance tuning.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability solutions.
- Good understanding of database security and access management.
- Experience supporting production environments and resolving database-related issues.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and database observability solutions.
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and DevOps practices.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
