We are seeking a skilled HVAC Design Engineer to design, develop, and optimize Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, residential, and institutional projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing HVAC designs, calculations, equipment selection, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design HVAC systems including air conditioning, ventilation, chilled water, heating, and exhaust systems.
- Perform cooling and heating load calculations using industry-standard software.
- Prepare HVAC layouts, schematics, and detailed engineering drawings.
- Select and size HVAC equipment such as AHUs, FCUs, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Ducting, and Ventilation Systems.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and project teams.
- Review vendor drawings, technical submittals, and material specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NBC, and local regulations.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions with clients.
- Provide technical support during project execution and commissioning.
- Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles and standards.
- Experience in load calculations and equipment sizing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of HAP, Carrier HAP, Revit MEP, or similar HVAC design software.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and building codes.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–8 years of experience in HVAC Design Engineering.
- Experience in commercial buildings, hospitals, data centers, pharmaceutical, industrial, or residential projects is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of BIM/Revit MEP.
- Experience with Green Building/LEED projects.
- Exposure to data center or mission-critical facility design is an added advantage.
