Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fabric Merchandiser to manage the sourcing, development, and procurement of fabrics for garment production. The ideal candidate will coordinate with suppliers, buyers, production teams, and quality departments to ensure the timely availability of fabrics that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and develop fabrics based on customer specifications and market trends.
- Coordinate with suppliers for fabric quotations, sampling, approvals, and bulk orders.
- Negotiate prices, lead times, and delivery schedules with fabric vendors.
- Monitor fabric production, dyeing, printing, and finishing processes to ensure on-time delivery.
- Work closely with the design, product development, production, and quality assurance teams.
- Review fabric specifications, test reports, and quality standards before bulk production.
- Maintain fabric inventory records and monitor stock levels.
- Track purchase orders and ensure timely follow-up with suppliers.
- Resolve fabric-related issues, including quality concerns, color variations, and delivery delays.
- Prepare merchandising reports, cost analyses, and production updates for management.
- Stay updated on textile innovations, market trends, and sustainable fabric options.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
