About the Role
We are looking to hire an Associate with 2–4 years of relevant experience in litigation and dispute resolution to join our legal team. The role will involve handling a broad range of commercial disputes and contentious matters, with significant exposure to court proceedings, arbitration and insolvency-related disputes.
The candidate should have strong legal research and drafting skills, sound understanding of procedural law, and the ability to independently handle matters with appropriate supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling and assisting in commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters before courts, tribunals and arbitral forums.
- Drafting pleadings, applications, petitions, written submissions, notices, replies, rejoinders and other legal documents.
- Conducting detailed legal research and preparing case law and statutory analysis.
- Assisting in arbitration proceedings, including drafting of pleadings, applications and submissions.
- Appearing before courts and tribunals, where required, and coordinating with arguing counsel.
- Assisting in matters relating to the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, including contentious proceedings before the NCLT, NCLAT and other forums.
- Reviewing agreements, correspondence and documents from a dispute perspective and identifying legal and commercial issues.
- Preparing matter briefs, chronologies, case summaries and hearing notes.
- Managing day-to-day conduct and documentation of assigned matters and ensuring timely filings and compliance with procedural requirements.
- Coordinating with clients, counsel, experts and other stakeholders in relation to ongoing disputes.
- Assisting in developing litigation strategy and advising on legal and procedural issues.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- LL.B. degree from a recognised law school/university.
- 2–4 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a law firm or established litigation practice.
- Demonstrable experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
- Prior experience before the NCLT/NCLAT, High Courts, District Courts and/or arbitral tribunals will be preferred.
- Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
- Ability to independently undertake research and prepare high-quality legal drafts.
- Good understanding of the CPC, Evidence Act/Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Companies Act and Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, as applicable to the matters handled.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of professional ownership.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a lawyer who is hands-on, detail-oriented and genuinely interested in contentious practice, with the ability to take ownership of matters and work closely with the team on complex and commercially sensitive disputes.
Candidates with meaningful exposure to commercial disputes, insolvency litigation, arbitration and corporate litigation will be preferred.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
