Job Summary
The assistantTeam Leader is responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse operations, supervising warehouse associates, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining service levels, productivity, quality, and safety standards. The role involves leading a team to achieve operational KPIs while ensuring smooth inbound, storage, sorting, and outbound processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Management
- Lead and supervise warehouse associates and executives.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor team productivity.
- Ensure discipline, attendance, and adherence to company policies.
- Train, coach, and develop team members.
- Conduct shift briefings and performance reviews.
Warehouse Operations
- Manage inbound, storage, sorting, picking, packing, and dispatch activities.
- Ensure timely processing of shipments as per SLA and TAT commitments.
- Monitor daily workflow and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with transportation and operations teams for smooth dispatches.
Inventory Management
- Maintain inventory accuracy and stock integrity.
- Conduct cycle counts and stock audits.
- Ensure proper stock movement and reconciliation.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and warehouse SOPs.
- Maintain housekeeping and workplace discipline.
- Conduct safety briefings and ensure proper use of equipment and PPE.
- Support audits and compliance requirements.
Reporting & KPI Management
- Track and report productivity, quality, and operational KPIs.
- Prepare daily operational reports and shift handover updates.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate in any discipline (Logistics/Supply Chain preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
- Minimum 1 year of team handling experience.
- Good knowledge of inventory management and warehouse processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
