Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing and fabrication activities, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and delivery schedules. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and experience in sheet metal fabrication, welding, assembly, and production planning. Production Supervisors are responsible for organizing workflows, supervising teams, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production and fabrication activities.
- Plan and allocate manpower, machines, and materials effectively.
- Monitor production schedules to achieve daily and monthly targets.
- Ensure product quality as per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, and Quality departments for smooth production flow.
- Monitor fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, and finishing activities.
- Minimize production downtime, material wastage, and rework.
- Ensure preventive maintenance of production equipment and machinery.
- Maintain production records, reports, and work orders.
- Implement and enforce 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE usage, and company SOPs.
- Train, guide, and evaluate production operators and technicians.
- Monitor productivity, efficiency, and resource utilization.
- Support dispatch planning to meet customer delivery commitments.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and fabrication layouts.
- Knowledge of MIG, TIG, Arc Welding, Sheet Metal Fabrication, and Assembly.
- Experience in production planning and manpower management.
- Familiarity with quality control tools and inspection procedures.
- Knowledge of inventory and material planning.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production reporting.
