Job Summary
The NPD Engineer is responsible for development of new products from customer inquiry to mass production. The role includes product design coordination, process development, APQP activities, prototype development, cost estimation, and coordination with customers, production, quality, and suppliers to ensure timely product launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Study customer drawings, specifications, standards, and technical requirements.
- Develop new products as per customer requirements and company standards.
- Prepare feasibility reports for new product development.
- Coordinate with design, production, quality, tooling, purchase, and supplier teams during development.
- Conduct trial production and process validation.
- Monitor product performance during pilot and initial production stages.
- Analyze product and process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain project timelines and ensure on-time product launch.
- Support customer audits, internal audits, and development reviews.
- Work on cost reduction and value engineering activities
Required Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, or related Engineering discipline.
Experience
- 2–6 years experience in New Product Development in automotive or auto component manufacturing industry.
- Experience in sheet metal, forging, machining, casting, welding, or assembly components will be preferred.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
