Roles and Responsibilities:
Recovery & Disputes (Litigation / Arbitration / MSMEFC)
- Drive end-to-end recovery actions including demand notices, negotiations, and legal
escalation to achieve defined recovery targets.
- Manage cases across forums with the help of external counsels (courts, arbitration,
MSMEFC) with timely filings and follow-ups; maintain case status trackers.
2. Contracts & Documentation (Drafting / Vetting / Redlining)
- Turnaround for standard agreements within TAT.
- Lead Contract Negotiation and ensure version control with closure of all negotiation
points including commercial and legal clauses.
3. Property & Commercial Agreements (Lease / LLA / MOU)
- Draft and close Lease Deeds/LLAs/MOUs aligned with business terms on standard
draft basis.
- Coordinate with landlords, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely deal
closures and registration of documents.
- Support negotiations to achieve commercially viable outcomes.
4. Due Diligence & Title Review
- Conduct property DD; identify title, zoning and compliance risks with the help of
external counsels.
- Deliver clear risk notes related to ownership, encumbrances, and approvals.
Pre-requisites for the Job Role:
- BA,LLB/ BBA,LLB/ LLB from with a minimum 3–5 years experience in an
Individual Contributor role as an in-house counsel
- Experience in handling store/ centre launch from LOI signing to Lease Registration
with a record of independently closing at least 30+ lease transactions
- Hands-on handling of civil courts, arbitration proceedings, and MSMEFC matters
(filings, hearings, execution)
- Proficiency in Excel/trackers; comfort with e-filing portals and basic legal tech tools
