Department - Maintenance
Key Responsibilities
Ensure uninterrupted operation of all electrical equipment and utilities in the forging shop by
executing preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities.
Carry out troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of forging presses, induction billet heaters, sealed
quench furnaces, mesh belt furnaces, trimming presses, shot blasting machines, compressors, and
other forging equipment to minimize downtime.
Perform maintenance, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of PLC systems, HMI, VFDs, Soft
Starters, MCC panels, PCC panels, APFC panels, transformers, switchgear, and electrical distribution
systems.
Read, interpret, and modify electrical drawings, control circuit diagrams, wiring schematics, and
single-line diagrams for effective fault identification and rectification.
Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to improve equipment
reliability, enhance machine availability, and reduce unexpected breakdowns.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures and implement effective
Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to improve overall equipment performance.
Maintain and troubleshoot three-phase induction motors, DOL starters, Star-Delta starters,
transformers, relays, contactors, sensors, encoders, limit switches, thermocouples, and other
electrical components.
Ensure availability of critical electrical spares by monitoring inventory levels, coordinating
procurement, and maintaining optimum stock to support uninterrupted plant operations.
Coordinate closely with Production, Mechanical Maintenance, Utility, and Quality teams during
breakdowns, shutdowns, machine installations, and commissioning activities.
Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety standards, LOTO procedures, statutory regulations,
and company EHS policies during all maintenance activities.
Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, breakdown reports, PM checklists, calibration
records, and daily maintenance logs through SAP PM/CMMS or other maintenance management
systems.
Participate in TPM, Kaizen, 5S, OEE improvement initiatives, energy conservation projects, and
continuous improvement programs to enhance plant productivity and reduce maintenance costs.
Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new electrical equipment and automation
systems while ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards.
Guide, supervise, and develop electricians and maintenance technicians by providing technical
support, training, and ensuring adherence to standard maintenance practices.
