Hiring: Furniture Quality Control Executive

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Furniture Quality Control Executive to join our manufacturing team in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all furniture products meet international quality standards before reaching customers.
The role involves monitoring product quality at every stage — from raw material inspection to final pre-shipment checks — ensuring only premium-quality products are dispatched for the UK market.
Key Responsibilities
1. Raw Material Inspection
- Inspect and verify the quality, grade, and moisture content of raw materials such as wood, metal, foam, glass, and fabrics.
- Ensure textiles are free from weaving/running defects and properly matched for color and shading consistency.
- Identify and report any substandard or damaged incoming materials.
2. In-Process (In-Line) Inspections
- Monitor production processes to identify structural weaknesses and manufacturing defects at early stages.
- Check dimensions, measurements, hardware fittings, alignment, sanding, polishing, and finishing quality against approved specifications and drawings.
- Ensure production follows quality standards and SOPs consistently.
3. Finished Goods & Pre-Shipment Inspection
- Conduct final product inspections before dispatch.
- Evaluate product stability, finishing, weight capacity, drawer/door functionality, and assembly quality.
- Perform safety checks including sharp edge detection, pinch point assessment, and metal detection for upholstered products.
- Prevent defective or non-compliant products from reaching customers.
4. Packaging & Loading Supervision
- Inspect packaging materials, carton strength, labeling accuracy, and internal protective packaging.
- Ensure compliance with drop-test and export packaging standards.
- Verify quantities and supervise container loading before shipment dispatch.
5. Documentation & Compliances
- Maintain inspection records, QC reports, and deficiency documentation.
- Prepare quality reports and corrective action recommendations.
- Ensure products comply with international safety, sustainability, and flammability standards required for UK and export markets.
6. Cross-Functional Collaborations
- Work closely with production, design, and factory teams to resolve quality issues.
- Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and reduce defects.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process enhancement programs.
- Strong understanding of wooden furniture manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of export quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Experience with upholstery, hardware fitting, finishing, and packaging inspection preferred.
- Good reporting and documentation skills.
- Ability to identify defects and suggest practical corrective actions.
- Strong communication and team coordination abilities.
