• Plan, schedule, and monitor maintenance activities for Surface Miners, LMVs, and critical HEMM. • Ensure timely execution of PM schedules, condition-based and breakdown maintenance.

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports across all HEMM and support vehicles. • Generate dashboards for management review using Excel or SAP-based tools. • Provide data-driven insights for operational improvements and cost reductions.

Safety Compliance & Monitoring
• Monitor and report Unsafe Conditions, Near Misses, First Aid Cases, and corrective actions. • Track and report BBSO (Behaviour-Based Safety Observations) with closure compliance. • Conduct safety audits of LMVs and Surface Miners for DGMS and internal standards compliance.

Contractor Safety & Compliance
• Ensure contractors follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols. • Monitor PPE compliance, vehicle fitness, valid license, medical fitness, tool inspection, etc. • Maintain contractor scorecards and lead monthly safety review meetings with contractors. • Track and report third-party equipment inspection schedules, training compliance, and safety tool box talks.

Departmental KPI Reporting & Coordination
• Align with other departments like Mining, Production, Safety, Stores, and HR to capture and report inter-departmental KPIs. • Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation. • Provide timely inputs for monthly reviews, cost meetings, and management dashboards.
PURPOSE
The Sub Section Head – HEMM Planning & MIS is accountable for end-to-end planning, monitoring, and performance management of Surface Miners, LMVs, and other HEMM assets, while also ensuring adherence to safety and statutory compliance standards. This role integrates equipment maintenance planning with strong MIS reporting, cost tracking, and cross-functional coordination to drive operational excellence. Additionally, the role ensures safety performance monitoring, including unsafe condition reporting, BBSO tracking, and contractor compliance auditing.
