Job Summary
The Spare Parts Incharge is responsible for the efficient management of the dealership's spare parts inventory, ensuring the timely availability of genuine Maruti Suzuki parts to support workshop operations and retail sales. The role focuses on inventory control, stock accuracy, vendor coordination, customer satisfaction, and adherence to dealership processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the spare parts department.
- Ensure timely availability of genuine Maruti Suzuki spare parts for workshop and counter sales.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels by monitoring stock movement and placing replenishment orders.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming spare parts against purchase orders and invoices.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, and preservation of spare parts to prevent damage or loss.
- Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving inventory and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct regular stock verification and ensure inventory accuracy in the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Coordinate with workshop advisors, technicians, and suppliers to ensure uninterrupted service operations.
- Handle customer and internal parts enquiries professionally and provide accurate quotations.
- Process warranty, return, and damaged parts as per Maruti Suzuki and company guidelines.
- Maintain proper documentation for inward, outward, transfers, and stock adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, safety standards, and audit requirements.
- Prepare and submit periodic inventory, sales, and stock ageing reports to management.
- Lead, supervise, and guide spare parts store personnel to achieve departmental objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in automobile spare parts management, preferably in a Maruti Suzuki dealership.
- Experience with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and inventory management software is preferred.
