Job Overview
Classic Medico is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and responsible Registered Pharmacist to join our team for Night Duty. In this role, you will be responsible for managing pharmacy operations during night hours, accurately dispensing prescription medications, assisting walk-in customers and emergency cases, managing stock, and ensuring strict compliance with pharmacy laws and standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prescription Dispensing & Patient Care
- Accurately interpret, verify, and dispense prescription medications for outpatient and emergency customers.
- Check for correct drug dosage, contraindications, allergies, and drug interactions before dispensing.
- Provide clear counseling and instructions to patients/caregivers on dosage, administration, side effects, and storage.
2. Night Pharmacy Operations & Emergency Support
- Manage end-to-end counter operations independently and responsibly during night hours.
- Attend promptly to urgent or emergency prescription requests.
- Handle customer queries with empathy, professionalism, and urgency.
3. Inventory & Cash Management
- Accurately manage billing, POS systems, and cash/digital payment reconciliation at the end of each shift.
- Monitor night stock levels; track fast-moving emergency medications and submit refill requests for day-shift replenishments.
- Utilize quiet hours for stock auditing, checking batch numbers, monitoring expiry dates, and maintaining storage conditions (e.g., refrigerator temperature monitoring for cold-chain drugs).
4. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure strict adherence to FDA/Drug Control regulations, Schedule H/H1 registers, and narcotic drug documentation.
- Maintain accurate electronic records of sales and inventory in the pharmacy management software.
- Ensure pharmacy cleanliness, security, and hygiene standards throughout the night.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
- Licensing: Valid Registered Pharmacist license with the State Pharmacy Council (Mandatory).
- Shift Flexibility: Must be comfortable and committed to working night shifts / rotational rosters.
- Experience:
- Fresh graduates with valid registration and high dedication to night shifts are also welcome to apply.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in pharmacy billing software / POS systems.
- Sound clinical knowledge of generic and brand-name drugs.
- High attention to detail, reliability, and ability to handle night-time emergencies independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
