Now we are looking for Mechanical Assembly Engineer – VMC Machine.
Experience:- 3yrs
Location:-Vallam, Sriperumbudur.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complete mechanical assembly of VMC machines as per engineering drawings and assembly procedures.
- Assemble and align machine base, column, saddle, table, spindle head, and other structural components.
- Install and align linear guideways, ball screws, spindle units, servo motors, couplings, and bearings.
- Assemble lubrication, hydraulic, pneumatic, coolant, and chip conveyor systems.
- Carry out precision leveling and alignment using dial indicators, precision levels, and measuring instruments.
- Verify machine geometry and ensure assembly accuracy within specified tolerances.
- Conduct machine trial runs and support functional testing before dispatch.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary corrections during assembly.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and 5S practices.Suggest improvements to reduce assembly time and improve machine quality.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 years of experience in VMC/CNC machine assembly or machine tool manufacturing.
- Experience in precision machine assembly is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of VMC machine construction and assembly.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
- Experience in precision alignment of guideways, ball screws, spindle assemblies, and machine geometry.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication systems, and mechanical transmission systems.
- Familiarity with CNC machine components and machine tool standards.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, and precision levels.
- Basic knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi CNC systems is an advantage.
- Good troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
