About the Role
We are hiring a Proposal Engineer to join our team in PCMC, Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end techno-commercial bid management, preparing precise technical proposals, bill of quantities (BOQ), and costing models for waste-to-energy, biogas, and decentralized organic waste treatment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Tender Management: Review and analyze RFQs, RFPs, EOIs, and tender specifications for waste management and bioenergy projects.
- Technical Proposals: Develop detailed technical write-ups, process flow descriptions, equipment lists, and capacity calculations in coordination with design teams.
- Costing & Estimations: Prepare BOQs, CAPEX/OPEX calculations, AMC pricing, and commercial bid packages in collaboration with procurement and finance.
- Compliance & Documentation: Compile complete bid submissions, including technical schedules, deviation matrices, and statutory compliance documents.
- Cross-Functional Support: Participate in pre-bid meetings, resolve post-bid technical queries, and support project handovers upon order conversion.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or related engineering discipline.
- Experience: 2 to 6 years of techno-commercial or proposal engineering experience.
- Industry Exposure: Background in waste management, biogas, bioenergy, or EPC projects (exposure to government/PSU tenders is a plus).
- Skills: Strong analytical ability, costing fundamentals, and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
