General Manager (Facility Management Site)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the single point of accountability on all facility and hospitality matters; build and sustain a trust-based working relationship with client facility/admin teams.
- Lead periodic client review meetings (MIS, SLA performance, incident reports) and ensure timely closure of action points.
- Anticipate client needs during peak usage (training batches, leadership visits, large conferences) and proactively align resources.
- Manage escalations and service-recovery situations professionally, protecting both guest experience and the Sarovar-Client relationship.
- Ensure contractual SLAs, statutory compliances, and reporting commitments under the FM agreement are consistently met.
Rooms & Guest Services
- Oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure the 130-room inventory is maintained to brand and client standards.
- Drive guest/occupant satisfaction scores, manage occupancy planning in coordination with client training/visitor schedules.
- Ensure preventive maintenance programmes protect room and campus infrastructure and minimise downtime.
Learning & Classroom Infrastructure
- Coordinate classroom readiness (AV, seating, housekeeping turnaround) with client L&D/training coordinators.
- Manage scheduling conflicts and last-minute changes for the 10 classrooms with minimal disruption to training calendars.
F&B, Banqueting & Events
- Lead F&B operations for the 200-cover restaurant — menu planning, food safety (FSSAI), cost control, and service quality.
- Oversee banqueting and event execution for the 250-pax auditorium, including conferences, town-halls, and institutional functions.
- Monitor F&B consumption trends, wastage, and covers data to optimise cost and service levels.
Operations, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure statutory, fire, food-safety, and security compliance across all site operations.
- Lead incident management and root-cause/corrective-action processes for any operational lapses.
- Maintain a safe, secure campus environment in coordination with Security and Engineering teams.
Commercial, People & Vendor Management
- Own the site P&L — budgeting, cost control, and monthly performance reporting to IH leadership.
- Recruit, train, and retain a motivated department-head team; drive performance management and succession planning.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships (housekeeping consumables, security, AMC/engineering contracts, F&B supplies) for quality and cost efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate MIS/reporting to both Sarovar corporate and the client.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 12–18 years of progressive hospitality/facility-management operations experience, with at least 4–5 years in a General Manager or senior operations leadership role.
- Prior experience managing a corporate/institutional campus, hotel, or large mixed-use facility (rooms + F&B + banqueting) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing a large institutional or corporate client relationship directly — this is a critical, non-negotiable requirement for this role.
- Strong working knowledge of rooms division, F&B operations, banqueting/event execution, engineering upkeep, and statutory/safety compliance.
- Sound commercial acumen — P&L ownership, budgeting, cost control, and vendor negotiation.
- Proven people-leadership skills across cross-functional teams (25–40+ department heads and staff).
- Degree/diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent; additional certification in facility management is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, composure under pressure, and a service-first, client-relationship mindset.
