About the Role
Karnataka Tiffin Room (KTR) is looking for a dedicated Batter Maker / Production Cook to join our Central Kitchen team. The primary responsibility will be preparing high-quality batters and mixes for our signature South Indian menu.
Previous experience with our exact recipes is not required. We will provide complete training to the right candidate. We are looking for someone who is disciplined, hardworking, and willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare batters for:
- Davangere Dosa
- Bengaluru Dosa
- Rava Idli
- Thatte Idli
- Medu Vada
- Dal Vada
- Follow standardized recipes and SOPs provided by the company.
- Wash, soak, grind, ferment, and portion batters as per production schedule.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and quality every day.
- Ensure proper hygiene and food safety standards during production.
- Maintain cleanliness of grinders, mixers, utensils, and production area.
- Monitor raw material usage and report shortages to the Store Keeper or Kitchen Manager.
- Record daily production quantities and minimize wastage.
- Support other production activities whenever required.
Requirements
- Experience in a South Indian kitchen or central kitchen is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of dosa/idli batter preparation is an advantage.
- Freshers with a willingness to learn are welcome.
- Physically fit and comfortable handling bulk food production.
- Punctual, disciplined, and able to work early morning shifts.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
