Audiologists diagnose, manage, and treat hearing, balance, and related disorders. They examine patients using audiometers, tympanometers, and other specialized equipment to assess hearing loss, tinnitus, and vestibular issues. Duties include interpreting test results, counseling patients and families, fitting and dispensing hearing aids or cochlear implants, and developing treatment plans. Audiologists collaborate with physicians, speech therapists, and educators, maintain patient records, and provide preventative care education. Work settings include hospitals, clinics, private practices, and schools. A Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.), state licensure, and strong communication skills are required. Compassion, problem-solving, and technical proficiency are essential.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
