Job Summary
A Continental Chef is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting continental cuisine while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency. The role includes menu planning, food preparation, inventory management, and coordination with kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook continental dishes according to recipes and standards
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation are maintained
- Assist in menu planning and creation of new dishes
- Monitor kitchen hygiene and follow food safety standards
- Manage food storage and inventory
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth operations
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations
- Control food wastage and portion sizes
- Handle customer dietary requests when required
