Job Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Online Guitar Tutor to teach students of various skill levels (beginner to advanced) through engaging online sessions. The tutor will be responsible for delivering structured, interactive lessons tailored to individual musical goals and interests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct live online guitar classes (1-on-1 or small groups)
- Teach fundamental to advanced guitar techniques (chords, scales, strumming, fingerstyle, etc.)
- Cover music theory basics relevant to guitar playing
- Customize lesson plans based on student skill level, goals, and preferred music genres
- Assist students in learning songs, improvisation, and performance skills
- Provide practice exercises, learning materials, and constructive feedback
- Track student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Maintain a positive, motivating, and professional learning environment
Requirements:
- Proficiency in playing guitar (acoustic and/or electric)
- Prior experience teaching guitar (online teaching experience is a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable internet connection and a computer/laptop with webcam
- Familiarity with online teaching tools (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
- Ability to work independently as a freelancer
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal training in music or guitar (certification or degree is a plus)
- Experience teaching students from diverse backgrounds and age groups
- Knowledge of multiple music genres (e.g., rock, pop, blues, classical, jazz)
- Basic understanding of music production or recording (optional advantage)
Working Hours:
Flexible schedule (based on availability and student demand)
Compensation:
Paid per session/hour (rate based on experience and qualifications)
