About the Role
We are building multiple software projects in the healthcare technology pipeline, including diagnostic software, DNA ploidy analysis, and Whole Slide Imaging (WSI) integrations. We're looking for one strong, senior full-stack developer who can take ownership end-to-end — someone who can architect and build independently, manage or outsource sub-tasks to freelancers when needed, and work without requiring daily hand-holding.
This role sits at a senior/lead level and is expected to bring structure and technical direction to a fast-moving, healthcare-focused engineering effort.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and independently build end-to-end features across frontend and backend systems.
- Understand and analyze project requirements and propose sound technical solutions.
- Implement requirements with high quality and on schedule, with minimal supervision.
- Own the technical direction of assigned projects, including diagnostic software, DNA ploidy tools, and WSI (Whole Slide Imaging) integrations.
- Break down and delegate sub-tasks to freelance or junior developers where appropriate and review their output.
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs, and where needed, front-end components with a focus on usability and performance.
- Create and implement unit, integration, sub-system, and system-level test cases; validate implemented features.
- Debug and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environments.
- Follow established Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve code quality, performance, reliability, and development workflows.
- Use modern developer tooling, including AI-assisted development tools, to improve productivity while maintaining code quality and correctness.
Required Qualifications
- BE / B. Tech / MCA / ME / M. Tech or equivalent from a reputed university.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience as a full-stack developer.
- Strong proficiency in Python (required) or Java; solid backend engineering fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with modern front-end development (JavaScript/TypeScript, React or equivalent frameworks, HTML5, CSS).
- Experience working with cloud environments (IaaS/PaaS), such as AWS or Azure.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, databases (SQL required; NoSQL a plus), and software design fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Continuous Delivery practices such as CI/CD pipelines, and ideally TDD/BDD.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and ability to work as an individual contributor.
- Comfort working independently, managing ambiguity, and coordinating outsourced or freelance contributors.
Nice to Have
- Experience with medical, diagnostic, or imaging software (e.g., WSI, DICOM, or similar healthcare tech domains).
- Exposure to Docker or containerized development environments.
- Experience with healthcare, fintech, or other regulated domains.
- Conversant with software development processes and methodologies, including exposure to working with multi-site, global teams.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
