Job Summary
The Area Sales Officer will oversee field sales activities, manage primary and secondary sales pipelines, and identify new market opportunities. This role requires traveling across the assigned territory to build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and direct clients, ensuring maximum product availability and visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Target Achievement: Meet or exceed assigned regional sales volumes and value targets.
- Territory Expansion: Identify new sales channels, outlets, and corporate clients to increase market share.
- Network Management: Manage, support, and evaluate local distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners.
- Market Intelligence: Track competitor pricing, promotional schemes, and product offerings to report back to management.
- Sales Pipeline Tracking: Maintain detailed customer records, transaction details, and schedules using CRM platforms.
- Team Supervision: Guide, monitor, and support field sales executives or representatives operating within the area.
- Stock Optimization: Ensure consistent product availability, proper stock rotation, and resolve distribution bottlenecks.
- Promotional Execution: Implement trade promotions, merchant schemes, and product launch activations on the ground.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of proven field sales experience, ideally in FMCG, telecom, or consumer goods.
- Negotiation: Proven capability to handle objections, secure deals, and close contracts with vendors.
- Communication: Strong verbal and presentation skills to confidently pitch products to diverse stakeholders.
- Tech Savvy: Competency in using modern CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce, along with Microsoft Excel.
- Mobility: Flexibility to travel extensively throughout the assigned geographical territory.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
