About the Role
National Institute of Education and Development (NIED) is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Battery Electric Vehicle (EV) Trainer to deliver industry-oriented training under skill development and employability programs. The trainer will be responsible for providing theoretical and practical instruction on Electric Vehicle technologies, battery systems, charging infrastructure, vehicle diagnostics, maintenance procedures, and emerging EV trends.
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, hands-on industry experience, and the ability to train and mentor candidates for careers in the rapidly growing EV sector.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery
- Deliver classroom and practical training sessions on Electric Vehicle technologies.
- Train candidates on EV architecture, components, and operating principles.
- Conduct hands-on workshops on battery systems, motors, controllers, and charging equipment.
- Explain vehicle safety procedures and industry best practices.
- Demonstrate troubleshooting and maintenance techniques for EV systems.
- Facilitate project-based learning and practical assignments.

Assessment & Documentation
- Conduct trainee assessments, practical evaluations, and assignments.
- Monitor candidate attendance, progress, and performance.
- Maintain training records, assessment reports, and project documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly training reports.
- Ensure compliance with project guidelines and quality standards.
Industry & Placement Support
- Support placement-linked training initiatives.
- Guide candidates on industry expectations and job readiness.
- Coordinate industry visits, guest lectures, and practical exposure sessions.
- Assist trainees in preparing for interviews and employment opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E. in:
- Automobile Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Electric Vehicle Technology or related discipline
- Additional certifications in Electric Vehicles, Battery Technology, Automotive Electronics, or EV Systems will be an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of industry and/or training experience in:
- Electric Vehicle Technology
- Automobile Industry
- EV Service & Maintenance
- Battery Manufacturing
- Charging Infrastructure
- Automotive Training Institutes
- Experience in Skill Development, NSDC, PMKVY, CSR, Government, or Employment-linked Training Programs will be preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of EV systems and architecture.
- Knowledge of Battery Management Systems (BMS).
- Understanding of EV charging protocols and charging stations.
- Familiarity with motor drives, controllers, and power electronics.
- Ability to perform diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of automotive electrical systems and safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with EV testing and maintenance equipment.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong classroom and workshop management abilities.
- Ability to engage and motivate trainees.
