The Business Development Executive (BDE) in a hospital plays a pivotal role in driving patient volume, expanding corporate and institutional partnerships, and building referral networks with doctors and healthcare facilities. The role focuses on increasing revenue, improving brand visibility, and driving growth across key medical specialties.
Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Doctor & Clinical Referral Networking
- GPs & Clinic Outreach: Build and maintain strong working relationships with general practitioners, local clinics, nursing homes, and diagnostic centers to drive specialty patient referrals.
- Consultant Engagement: Coordinate with in-house consultants and medical teams to promote specialized treatments (e.g., Cardiology, Oncology, Orthopedics, IVF).
2. Corporate Tie-ups & Institutional Sales (B2B)
- Corporate Partnerships: Pitch to and secure B2B partnerships with corporate firms, educational institutions, and government bodies for employee health check-up packages and empanelment.
- TPAs & Insurance Coordination: Liaise with Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) and health insurance providers to streamline corporate empanelment and cashless treatment facilities.
3. Community Outreach & Marketing Events
- Health Camps & Seminars: Plan, organize, and execute community health check-up camps, blood donation drives, wellness workshops, and medical CME (Continuing Medical Education) programs.
- Brand Visibility: Collaborate with the marketing team to distribute promotional collateral and increase local awareness of the hospital's services.
4. Market Research & Strategy
- Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and local healthcare demand to identify new market opportunities.
- Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly patient acquisition, OPD/IPD conversion, and revenue targets.
5. Patient Conversion & CRM
- Lead Tracking: Maintain accurate records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system regarding doctor visits, corporate leads, and referral pipelines.
- Patient Liaison: Work closely with front-desk and patient-care teams to ensure smooth onboarding and treatment journeys for referred patients.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA), Healthcare Management, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree (MBA/MHA) is preferred.
- Experience: 1 to 4 years of proven business development or sales experience, ideally within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, diagnostic centers, or medical devices.
- Key Skills:
- Strong networking, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication in local languages and English.
- Good understanding of healthcare jargon, specialty medical procedures, and hospital operations.
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
Salary: As per company norms (fixed salary + incentive)
Pay: ₹21,537.89 - ₹30,919.43 per month
