Project Manager / Project Engineer – Civil (Area Grading & Site Development)

About the Role
Turnpike India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for experienced and execution-oriented Project Managers and Project Engineers to lead and execute large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects involving area grading, site development, earthwork, roads, drainage, RCC, and precast construction. The candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, quality, safety, client coordination, and timely project delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution
- Plan and execute area grading, site leveling, excavation, cutting, filling, embankment, and compaction works.
- Manage complete site development activities as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Execute roads (GSB, WMM), storm water drainage, trenches, culverts, RCC works, and precast installations.
- Monitor project progress and ensure completion within scheduled timelines.
Planning & Coordination
- Prepare execution plans, resource planning, and daily work schedules.
- Coordinate with survey teams using Total Station and Auto Level for layout, benchmarks, and level control.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams for smooth execution.
Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, BOQ, and project specifications.
- Monitor compaction tests, field density tests, concrete cube tests, and level checks.
- Implement quality assurance procedures throughout execution.
Machinery & Resource Management
- Manage deployment and productivity of excavators, dozers, graders, rollers, dumpers, water tankers, and other equipment.
- Optimize manpower, equipment utilization, and construction resources.
Commercial & Reporting
- Verify quantities and maintain measurement records.
- Provide billing inputs and support preparation of RA Bills.
- Track BOQ quantities, work progress, and material consumption.
- Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR), weekly reports, and project status updates.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure implementation of HSE standards and statutory compliance.
- Conduct toolbox talks and maintain safe working practices at site.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of earthwork, area grading, and site development.
- Experience in cut & fill calculations and quantity estimation.
- Understanding of soil mechanics, compaction methods, and field testing.
- Ability to read GFC, structural, and layout drawings.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and MS Excel.
- Familiarity with Total Station, Auto Level, and survey coordination.
- Good leadership, planning, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to manage clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Experience
- Project Engineer: 5–10 Years
- Project Manager: 10–15+ Years
Preferred Experience
- Industrial and infrastructure projects such as NTPC, BALCO, Power Plants, Steel Plants, Cement Plants, Warehouses, and Industrial Parks.
- Large-scale land development, area grading, and site leveling projects.
- Roads, drainage, RCC, precast boundary walls, retaining structures, and utility infrastructure.
- Experience in handling EPC or turnkey civil projects.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
