About us
We manufacture hydraulic gear pumps — approximately 25,000 units a month across many variants, supplying OEMs and a national dealer network. We are growing and investing in building strong systems as we scale.
About the role
As our OEM business grows, we are establishing a full quality function to support it. We currently have experienced inspection staff working across Gear, Casting, Bush and Housing, and a strong base of process knowledge on the floor. What we are looking for now is someone to bring it together into a structured quality system and lead it.
This is a greenfield opportunity — you will design the systems, set the standards, and build the department around them.
You will report directly to the Managing Director and lead the quality team. The role carries full authority to hold a batch or stop a dispatch on quality grounds, along with a budget and the mandate to set standards across the plant.
Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the Quality department; existing quality coordinators across all machining lines will report to you
- Set up incoming inspection, in-process inspection and first-piece approval, with clear enforcement
- Build and run the NCR and CAPA system
- Own all OEM quality documentation — PPAP, APQP, MSA, control plans, 8D reports, capability studies
- Serve as our quality interface with OEM customers: audits, complaint resolution, corrective action closure
- Lead ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 readiness and certification
- Develop supplier quality — incoming standards, vendor rating, supplier corrective actions
- Manage gauge and instrument calibration
Requirements
- Comfortable working in a growing SME — building processes and writing the first version of documents yourself, with the freedom that comes with it
- Diploma or BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production Engineering
- 4 – 10 years in quality within manufacturing — hydraulics, machined components, auto components, castings or similar. Machining and assembly exposure essential.
- Fluent Gujarati, and English strong enough to prepare and handle quality documentation — 8D reports, control plans, audit responses and customer correspondence
- Hands-on experience with PPAP, APQP, 8D, MSA, SPC, control plans and OEM audits
- Strong on drawings, GD&T, measuring instruments and gauges
Who this suits
We are open to strong candidates early in their careers. If you are a Senior Quality Engineer or Assistant Manager ready to take on a full function, we would rather back your ambition than wait for a longer CV.
What we offer
- Full ownership of a function you design yourself
- Direct access to the MD and quick decision-making
- Competitive salary with growth linked to what you deliver
- Certification and training support
Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
Benefits:
- Leave encashment
- Provident Fund
Work Location: In person
