Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control & Assurance:
- Perform thorough inspection and approval of all incoming raw materials, ensuring they meet established specifications.
- Conduct in-process batch inspections of semi-finished goods at critical control points in the manufacturing process.
- Execute final product inspection and release for Finished Goods (FG), including sensory evaluation, packaging integrity, and label verification.
- Hold and release authority for non-conforming products and raw materials.
2. Food Safety & Compliance Systems Management:
- Serve as a key custodian of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
- Maintain and ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across all plant operations.
- Manage and uphold the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ensuring readiness for internal and external audits.
- Lead the renewal process for the FSSAI license, ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met timely.
3. Documentation & Data Management:
- Coordinate and manage the document workflow for all Quality-related documents, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), templates, forms, and quality records.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible, meeting project timelines and compliance standards (FSSAI, ISO).
- Utilize SAP/ERP system proficiently for generating quality reports, managing non-conformance, tracking calibration schedules, and maintaining master data.
4. Pest Control & Calibration Management:
- Oversee the facility's pest control management program, including coordination with external vendors, monitoring bait stations, and ensuring audit readiness.
- Manage the comprehensive calibration schedule for all critical process and quality monitoring equipment (e.g., scales, thermometers, pH meters, metal detectors).
- Maintain accurate records for pest control activities and equipment calibration.
5. Auditing & Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in and lead internal audits and mock recalls.
- Act as a primary point of contact during external audits from regulatory bodies (FSSAI) and certification agencies (ISO).
- Investigate root causes of quality deviations and customer complaints, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Requirements & Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Dairy Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance/Control role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in the sweets, confectionery, bakery, or snacks manufacturing sector.
- Proven hands-on experience with raw material, in-process, and finished goods inspection.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
