We are actively recruiting a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead our site execution and engineering quality for civil infrastructure projects in Guwahati, Assam.
Job Summary
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing on-site engineering operations, structural execution, quality control, and technical compliance for major civil infrastructure works. Working closely with project management, you will ensure all engineering activities conform strictly to structural drawings, standard specifications, and project deadlines. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on technical expertise in civil execution, structural works, and site management.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering & Site Execution: Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities (e.g., piling, D-wall, Groutinng, BBS, concrete pours, foundation work, structural steel assembly, or road alignment) ensuring adherence to approved engineering drawings and standards.
- Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC): Conduct rigorous inspection of raw materials, concrete mix designs, steel reinforcement, and structural integrity; perform required laboratory/field testing and maintain compliance documentation.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Identify design discrepancies or site challenges early and collaborate with project managers, structural consultants, and design engineers to resolve them promptly.
- Measurement & Billing: Prepare and verify technical measurements, joint measurement records (JMR), micro-planning schedules, and Running Account (RA) bills for client and contractor processing.
- Resource & Worksite Supervision: Direct and supervise junior engineers, site supervisors, sub-contractors, and labor teams to maintain optimal site efficiency and productivity.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) protocols across all active engineering zones on site.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institute.
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years of hands-on civil engineering and site execution experience in major infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects (roads, bridges, deep foundations, piling, or geotechnical works).
- Technical Expertise: Sound knowledge of IS codes, structural execution methodology, bar bending schedules (BBS), concrete technology, and land surveying.
- Software Proficiency: Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, and basic project management software (MS Project).
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
