Role Purpose
The Learning & Development Executive will be responsible for onboarding, training, and capability development of warehouse associates to ensure seamless integration into operations, adherence to SOPs, safety compliance, and achievement of productivity and quality targets. The role will focus on building a skilled workforce through structured training interventions and continuous learning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Induction & Onboarding
· Conduct induction and orientation programs for new joiners.
· Familiarize employees with warehouse processes, company policies, safety standards, and workplace expectations.
· Ensure smooth integration of new hires into the workforce.
Training Delivery
· Deliver classroom and on-the-job training sessions for warehouse associates.
· Train employees on operational SOPs, scanning processes, inventory handling, material movement, and productivity standards.
· Conduct refresher training programs to address performance gaps.
Productivity & Performance Improvement
· Monitor trainee performance and learning effectiveness.
· Identify skill gaps impacting productivity, quality, or safety.
· Work closely with Operations teams to design and implement improvement plans.
Safety & Compliance Training
· Ensure all employees are trained on workplace safety protocols and emergency procedures.
· Conduct regular safety awareness sessions and toolbox talks.
· Maintain training records for compliance and audit purposes.
Training Coordination & Documentation
· Prepare training calendars and schedules.
· Maintain training attendance, certification records, and learning dashboards.
· Generate periodic reports on training coverage, effectiveness, and productivity improvements.
Stakeholder Management
· Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Site Leadership to understand training requirements.
· Support workforce ramp-ups during peak business periods.
· Assist in developing training content, SOPs, and learning materials.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· New hire onboarding completion rate.
· Training coverage and certification compliance.
· Time-to-productivity for new associates.
· Reduction in operational errors and quality defects.
· Safety training compliance.
· Improvement in workforce productivity metrics.
Experience
3+ years of experience in L&D, mandatorily in e-commerce, logistics, warehousing or supply chain operations.
Skills Required
· Strong training and presentation skills.
· Excellent communication in English, Hindi, and local language.
· Ability to engage and train large blue-collar workforces.
· Knowledge of warehouse operations and productivity metrics.
· Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and training documentation.
· Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
