The Sales Officer will be responsible for achieving sales targets, developing new customers, maintaining existing customer relationships, expanding the assigned territory, and ensuring timely follow-up and collection. The role involves regular market visits, customer meetings, order generation, competitor analysis and sales reporting. These are common responsibilities across current Sales Officer roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Identify and develop new customers, dealers, distributors and business opportunities.
- Visit customers regularly and understand their product requirements.
- Generate enquiries and convert enquiries into confirmed orders.
- Maintain good relationships with existing customers and ensure repeat business.
- Follow up on quotations, orders, deliveries and payments.
- Monitor market prices, competitor activities and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Dispatch, Accounts and other departments for timely order execution.
- Ensure proper customer service and resolve customer complaints.
- Monitor outstanding payments and support timely collection.
- Maintain daily customer visit reports and Daily Sales Reports (DSR).
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
- Develop the assigned territory and increase market share.
- Communicate company schemes, offers and product information to customers.
- Participate in dealer meetings, customer meetings, exhibitions and promotional activities where required.

Preferred Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in Field Sales / B2B Sales / Dealer Sales / Construction Material / Steel / Cement / FMCG / FMCD.
- Experience in handling dealers, distributors, fabricators, contractors or institutional customers will be an advantage.
