As a Head – Fluids & Mechanical Systems, you will lead a team of engineers supporting the development of Aeroderivative Gas Turbines within Siemens Energy’s Gas Services business. You will provide technical leadership for fluid and mechanical system designs while ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects and development activities.
Your role will combine people leadership, engineering governance, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality solutions that support product performance, reliability, and business objectives.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10–12 Fluids & Mechanical Systems engineers, driving technical excellence and capability development.

Provide technical oversight for the design, development, and validation of gas turbine fluid and mechanical systems.

Review engineering designs, calculations, and analyses to ensure compliance with global standards, product requirements, and quality expectations.

Collaborate with Product Assurance, Core Development, and other global teams to ensure timely delivery of engineering projects.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes, productivity, and project execution.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

12–15 years of experience in gas turbine, turbomachinery, or mechanical systems engineering, including 3–5 years in a people management role.

Strong expertise in gas turbine fluid systems, mechanical product design, and engineering development processes.

Experience with engineering analysis, design reviews, product validation, and quality assurance activities.

Proficiency with CAD/CAM/CAE tools and engineering design methodologies.

Proven leadership experience in team development, resource planning, performance management, and stakeholder engagement.

Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience working within global engineering organizations and managing interfaces across multiple teams.
You will be part of the Aeroderivative Gas Turbines Engineering organization, leading the Fluids & Mechanical Systems team responsible for delivering critical engineering solutions for gas turbine development programs.
The team works closely with Product Assurance, Core Development, Digital & Data Solutions, and other global engineering functions to drive innovation, quality, and operational excellence. This role offers the opportunity to influence technical strategy, develop high-performing teams, and contribute to the advancement of next-generation gas turbine technologies.
