Quality Assurance: Enforce rigid QA/QC protocols to support optimal flotation and smelting. Instrument
Calibration: Maintain and calibrate sensitive metallurgical instrumentation.
Process Optimization: Use chemical test data to assist engineers in maximizing copper recovery rates.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to strict environmental regulations regarding chemical waste treatment.
Technical Toolkit & Instruments Spectrometers: For rapid elemental composition and grade determination.
Gas Analysers: To measure impurities and gas content in refined copper.
Universal Testing Machines: To analyse the physical and tensile strength of metal samples.
Wet Chemistry Tools: Using precise acid digestion and titration methodologies.
Career Path & Progression
Entry-Level: Laboratory Analyst or Quality Control
Technician-Level: Laboratory Specialist,
Sectional Chemist, or Senior Metallurgical Analyst.
Senior-Level: Quality & Lab Manager, Laboratory Superintendent, or Chief Chemist
