Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Die Corrector responsible for inspecting, repairing, modifying, and correcting aluminium extrusion dies to ensure optimum die performance, dimensional accuracy, and product quality. The candidate should have hands-on experience in die correction techniques and a good understanding of extrusion profiles.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect extrusion dies after production and identify defects or wear.
- Perform die correction, polishing, relief correction, bearing adjustment, and die maintenance.
- Modify die bearings to achieve the required profile dimensions and surface finish.
- Repair damaged dies and prepare them for the next production cycle.
- Analyze extrusion defects and recommend necessary die corrections.
- Coordinate with the production, quality, and tool room teams to resolve die-related issues.
- Maintain die history and repair records.
- Ensure proper cleaning, storage, and preventive maintenance of dies.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain 5S standards in the die shop.
- Minimize die downtime and improve die life through effective maintenance.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of aluminium extrusion dies and profile correction.
- Understanding of bearing correction, polishing, nitriding, and die maintenance.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and profile dimensions.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Teamwork and effective communication.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in aluminium extrusion manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience in solid, hollow, and semi-hollow dies.
- Familiarity with extrusion process parameters and die performance analysis.
