Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Home Care Unit, ensuring efficient service delivery, optimal resource utilization, patient satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and achievement of organizational goals. The role involves managing clinical and non-clinical teams, coordinating patient services, and maintaining high standards of quality care.
Key Responsibilities Operational Management
- Manage daily operations of home healthcare services, including nursing, physiotherapy, doctor visits, attendant services, and diagnostic support.
- Ensure timely allocation and deployment of healthcare professionals for patient visits.
- Monitor service schedules and ensure smooth coordination between patients, healthcare staff, and support teams.
- Develop and implement operational policies, SOPs, and service protocols.
Team Management
- Supervise and lead nursing supervisors, coordinators, telecallers, drivers, and field staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of home care personnel.
- Ensure staff adherence to company policies and professional standards.
Patient Care & Service Excellence
- Monitor patient satisfaction and address escalations or complaints promptly.
- Ensure quality care delivery and adherence to clinical standards.
- Coordinate with doctors, hospitals, and families for continuity of care.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and company policies.
- Monitor documentation, patient records, and service reports.
- Conduct audits and implement corrective actions for service improvement.
Business & Revenue Management
- Monitor service utilization, operational costs, and profitability.
- Track monthly revenue targets and operational KPIs.
- Support business development activities and service expansion initiatives.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, Pharmacy, and Clinical departments for seamless operations.
- Analyze operational data and recommend process improvements.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in healthcare operations, home healthcare, hospital administration, or healthcare service management.
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
