We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer / .NET Engineer with strong expertise in legacy and enterprise technologies such as Ingres, ABF, and VB.NET. The ideal candidate should have hands-on development experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for building secure, scalable, and business-driven technology solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of commercial software development experience with one or more of the following technologies: Ingres, ABF, and VB.NET.
- Hands-on experience with Unix scripting.
- Strong expertise in writing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL queries.
- Practical experience in build, testing, and release processes for ABF applications, including the use of code version control platforms.
- Deep understanding of designing secure, scalable, and operationally stable software solutions.
- Working knowledge of software documentation, coding, testing, and deployment practices across multiple development languages and platforms.
- Strong understanding of security best practices, with the ability to stay updated on emerging threats and mitigation strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to apply logical thinking in a business environment.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, coding standards, and development best practices.
- Ability to build strong relationships and foster trust across technology teams, project stakeholders, and business users.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Passion for leveraging technology to solve business problems and deliver value.
- Working knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
- Must be based in India (Offshore) and willing to work early hours aligned with the Australia/Melbourne time zone.
