ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support day-to-day network monitoring and operations across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Troubleshoot network incidents and service disruptions to restore services within agreed service levels.
- Review monitoring alerts, investigate issues, and take appropriate remedial action.
- Perform approved network changes in accordance with established change management processes.
- Maintain and update network documentation, including High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), network diagrams, standards, and operational runbooks.
- Support and administer routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, WAN links, wireless networks, and cloud connectivity solutions.
- Assist with incident, problem, and change management activities in accordance with ITIL best practices.
- Monitor and support network performance, availability, resilience, and security.
- Provide updates on assigned workstreams, operational activities, risks, and service improvements.
- Contribute to network design reviews and implementation activities as part of project delivery.
- Assist with planned maintenance activities, hardware refreshes, software upgrades, and service improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with third-party vendors and managed service providers where required.
- Participate in out-of-hours maintenance activities when necessary.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong network engineering fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, the OSI model, IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, LAN, WAN, routing, and VPN technologies.
- Good knowledge of IEEE 802.1X authentication, RADIUS, and network access control technologies.
- Experience with cloud networking and SD-WAN technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst switching platforms and Cisco Meraki solutions.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise firewalls.
- Good understanding of DNS, DHCP, NAT, BGP, OSPF, STP, HSRP, and VRRP.
- Experience working within a corporate or enterprise IT environment.
- Understanding of change management, operational processes, and ITIL methodologies.
- Strong documentation skills, including the creation and maintenance of HLDs and LLDs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and professional development.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
- Experience with Meraki SD-WAN.
- Exposure to Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
- Experience with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
- Basic network automation or scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, LogicMonitor, ThousandEyes, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting globally distributed enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of Azure and AWS networking services, connectivity, and security principles.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Meraki, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent.
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or equivalent experience.
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
