Educational Qualification
- ITI (Machinist / Turner / Fitter) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- CNC/VMC Operator certification preferred.
Experience
- 0–2 Years: Operator level.
- 2–5 Years: Operator cum Setter.
- Experience in machining of precision components preferred.
Job Summary
The VMC & CNC Operator is responsible for operating, setting up, and monitoring CNC and Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines to manufacture precision components as per engineering drawings, quality standards, and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate VMC and CNC machines safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
- Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces on machines.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary offsets and adjustments.
- Perform in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and Bore Gauges.
- Ensure components meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Maintain production records and job cards.
- Follow production targets and minimize machine downtime.
- Report machine breakdowns, tool wear, and quality issues to the supervisor.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance activities.
- Follow 5S, safety, and company policies on the shop floor.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of CNC/VMC machine operations.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
- Understanding of cutting tools, feeds, and speeds.
- Basic knowledge of CNC programming and offset correction.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirement
- Ability to handle machine components and tools safely.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

Salary Range
As per company policy and candidate experience.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
