Role Overview
HMH Metal Industries Limited is looking for an experienced Sales Manager – International Sales to drive the company's global business development and sales of tungsten and related product lines.
The role will be responsible for developing international customers, managing key accounts, identifying new markets and applications, negotiating commercial contracts, and building a sustainable global sales pipeline across multiple regions.
The ideal candidate should have experience in metals, minerals, ferro alloys, specialty materials, industrial raw materials, mining products, or similar B2B commodity/technical sales, with a strong understanding of international trade and export markets.
Key Responsibilities
International Business Development
- Identify and develop customers across Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and other international markets.
- Build a strong pipeline of buyers, distributors, processors, traders and industrial consumers for multiple tungsten product lines.
- Identify new countries, industry segments and applications where HMH's tungsten products can be positioned.
- Develop relationships with procurement teams, technical teams, trading houses and strategic customers.
Sales & Commercial Management
- Manage the complete international sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to quotation, negotiation, order closure and repeat business.
- Prepare commercial offers based on prevailing market conditions, product specifications, quantity, logistics and payment terms.
- Negotiate pricing, annual/long-term contracts, delivery schedules, payment terms and other commercial conditions.
- Work towards achievement of revenue, volume, margin and customer acquisition targets.
- Develop and manage key accounts to increase wallet share and recurring business.
Market Intelligence
- Track international tungsten prices, demand-supply movements, competitor activity and customer buying trends.
- Monitor developments across industries consuming tungsten and tungsten-based materials.
- Identify emerging applications, geographic opportunities and potential strategic partnerships.
- Provide regular market intelligence and commercial recommendations to management.
Customer & Technical Coordination
- Understand customer requirements relating to product grade, specification, composition, particle size, packaging and other commercial or technical parameters.
- Coordinate with production, quality and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are correctly translated into supply specifications.
- Coordinate samples, technical documentation, product approvals and customer trials wherever required.
- Manage customer queries, complaints and commercial follow-ups.
Export & Order Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams for order execution, production planning, quality documentation, logistics and shipment.
- Work closely with export/logistics teams on Incoterms, freight, customs documentation and international shipment requirements.
- Ensure timely collections and manage customer credit exposure in coordination with finance.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines and customer records.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mining, Chemistry, Commerce, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- MBA / International Business qualification would be an advantage.
- 5–8 years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably involving:
- Tungsten or tungsten-based products
- Specialty metals
- Non-ferrous metals
- Ferro alloys
- Minerals and ores
- Metal powders
- Industrial raw materials
- Mining/metallurgical products
- Demonstrated experience dealing with international customers.
- Strong understanding of international trade, export documentation, Incoterms and commercial negotiations.
- Ability to understand technical product specifications and translate them into commercial opportunities.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of commodity/metal pricing dynamics.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally for customer meetings, trade exhibitions and business development.
