Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, statutory compliance, and timely reporting. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Handle GST compliance – returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), reconciliations, and notices
Manage TDS compliance – calculation, deductions, returns, and Form 16/16A
Ensure compliance with Income Tax, Companies Act, LLP Act, and other statutory laws
Coordinate with auditors for internal, statutory, tax, and GST audits
Prepare and review bank reconciliations, cash flow, and fund planning
Monitor accounts receivable & payable
Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting
Handle accounting software such as Tally
Support management with financial analysis and decision-making
Ensure proper documentation and internal controls
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com); M.Com / CA-Inter preferred / CMA-Inter preferred
5+ years of relevant accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax
Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and accounting software
Good understanding of statutory and compliance requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Good communication and coordination skills
