Job Title: Procurement Engineer – Interior Fit-Out Projects
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Engineer to manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will ensure timely procurement, cost optimization, quality compliance, and coordination with project teams to support successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions, RFQs, and purchase orders.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for interior fit-out materials.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts to achieve cost savings.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, designers, and planning teams to understand material requirements and project timelines.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to project sites.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and quality compliance.
- Compare quotations and prepare technical and commercial evaluations.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation.
- Track inventory levels and coordinate with stores to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Resolve procurement-related issues, including delayed deliveries, quality concerns, and supplier disputes.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, budgets, and project specifications.
- Develop long-term relationships with reliable suppliers and identify new sourcing opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–8 years of procurement experience in interior fit-out, construction, or MEP projects.
- Strong knowledge of interior finishing materials, furniture, fixtures, hardware, flooring, ceilings, lighting, and MEP products.
- Experience in vendor sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
- Ability to read project drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/procurement software.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
