About the Role
Chitralekha Boutique Resort is looking for a professional, courteous, and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to be the face of our resort. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a pleasant personality, and the ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences while managing front office operations efficiently.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and ensure a memorable first impression.
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Manage room reservations through phone, email, and online booking platforms.
- Answer guest inquiries regarding room availability, resort facilities, tariffs, and local attractions.
- Coordinate with the housekeeping department to ensure room readiness.
- Coordinate with the food & beverage and maintenance teams to fulfill guest requests.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate guest records and update reservation systems.
- Process payments, generate invoices, and maintain billing records.
- Handle cash, card, and online payment transactions accurately.
- Attend phone calls and respond to emails in a professional manner.
- Assist guests with transportation, sightseeing, and travel-related information.
- Maintain the reception area in a clean, organized, and presentable condition.
- Ensure compliance with resort policies and hospitality standards.
- Prepare daily reports, occupancy reports, and shift handover notes.
- Promote resort services, packages, and special offers to guests.
- Build positive relationships with guests to encourage repeat visits.
- Work closely with all departments to ensure smooth resort operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism, or any relevant field preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Pleasant personality with a professional appearance.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Email, Internet).
- Knowledge of hotel PMS software is an added advantage.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays.
