Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Design & Application Engineer with strong expertise in Diesel Generator (DG) systems and mission-critical power infrastructure for Data Center projects.
The role involves end-to-end technical support from proposal engineering through detailed design and project execution support. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of diesel genset systems, electrical integration, ventilation, fuel systems, acoustic solutions, and international compliance standards applicable to Data Center environments.
Candidates with exposure to Tier III / Tier IV Data Center projects, backup power systems, and global engineering standards will be highly preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Engineering
- Design and configure Diesel Generator systems for large-scale Data Center applications
- Select suitable:
- Diesel engines
- Alternators
- Control panels
- Switchgear systems
- Design:
- Cooling & ventilation systems
- Fuel systems
- Exhaust systems
- Acoustic treatment solutions
- Electrical integration systems
- Develop:
- 2D/3D layouts
- Installation drawings
- Wiring diagrams
- Mechanical and electrical schematics
- Perform:
- Noise calculations
- Ventilation calculations
- Structural coordination reviews
- Evaluate site conditions such as:
- Climate
- Altitude
- Space constraints
- Seismic considerations
- Ensure high reliability, redundancy, and operational efficiency for critical infrastructure projects
Tender & Technical Documentation
- Review tender specifications and client requirements
- Prepare technical submissions and compliance documentation
- Develop Bill of Quantities (BoQ) for:
- DG systems
- Accessories
- Controls
- Installation materials
- Support proposal and bidding teams with technical clarifications
- Ensure technical compliance with customer specifications and project standards
Compliance & Standards
Ensure designs comply with international standards such as:
- NFPA 110
- ISO 8528
- ISO 3046 / BS 5514
- IEC 60034
- IEEE 446
- Uptime Institute Tier Standards
- Local emission and environmental regulations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Power Engineering
- or related discipline
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in:
- DG Set Design
- Application Engineering
- Critical Power Infrastructure
- Data Center Power Systems
Required Technical Skills
Strong understanding of:
- Diesel engine performance
- Alternator sizing & selection
- Generator synchronization systems
- Electro-mechanical protection systems
- Ventilation & acoustic engineering
- Fuel systems and exhaust systems
- Data Center redundancy topologies
- UPS integration concepts
- Mission-critical infrastructure design
