Job Summary:
Responsible for leading the complete R&D and Product Development function for Air Conditioning products, driving innovation, New Product Development (NPD), product performance improvement, testing, validation, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the R&D and Product Development team for AC products
- Drive New Product Development from concept to mass production
- Develop product roadmaps based on market trends and customer requirements
- Oversee product design, prototyping, testing, validation, and certification
- Lead development of split AC, inverter AC, window AC, and commercial AC products
- Drive product performance improvement, energy efficiency, reliability, and cost optimization
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Service teams
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and technology evaluation
- Ensure compliance with applicable HVAC, safety, energy-efficiency, and regulatory standards
- Manage engineering changes, BOMs, technical documentation, and product lifecycle
- Lead and mentor R&D engineers and cross-functional technical teams
Skills Required:
- Strong expertise in Air Conditioning / HVAC R&D
- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycles and thermodynamics
- Knowledge of compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion devices, refrigerants, and heat exchangers
- Experience in AC product design, testing, validation, and performance optimization
- Strong knowledge of NPD, DFM/DFA, value engineering, and cost reduction
- Excellent leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills
Qualification & Experience:
- BE/B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / HVAC Engineering
- 12–20+ years of experience in AC/HVAC R&D and Product Development
- Minimum 5 years in a senior R&D leadership position
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with split AC, inverter AC, window AC, VRF/VRV, or commercial HVAC systems
- Experience in organizations such as LG, Daikin, Voltas, Blue Star, Carrier, Hitachi, Panasonic, Samsung, Haier, or similar HVAC manufacturers will be an added advantage
- Strong exposure to energy efficiency, product certification, reliability testing, and technology development
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,200,000.00 per month
