Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and innovative Junior Food Technologist to join our Research & Development team. The ideal candidate should have 1–2 years of experience in food product development with exposure to bakery products and/or functional nutrition products. This role requires the ability to manage multiple R&D projects simultaneously, conduct formulation trials, prepare technical documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver commercially viable products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize food formulations from concept to commercialization.
- Work on multiple R&D projects simultaneously while adhering to project timelines.
- Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale trials, evaluate product performance, and recommend formulation improvements.
- Develop formulations based on customer requirements, nutritional targets, functionality, sensory attributes, cost, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including formulations, process sheets, batch records, specifications, stability data, and technical reports.
- Coordinate with Procurement, QA, Production, Packaging, and Regulatory teams during product development and commercialization.
- Evaluate new ingredients, technologies, and market trends for product innovation.
- Support production trials, troubleshooting, and technology transfer activities.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, Nutrition & Dietetics, or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience in Food R&D or Product Development.

- Strong understanding of food ingredients and their functionalities.
- Knowledge of formulation development and optimization.
- Basic understanding of food processing technologies.
- Familiarity with sensory evaluation techniques.
- Awareness of food safety systems, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for technical documentation and reporting.
